Instinct was founded on the principle that dogs are family. But living in our human world can present some big challenges for our canine family members; our team of experienced, certified trainers and behavior consultants has helped thousands of New Jersey dogs and owners co-exist together, peacefully and happily, using kind, practical techniques that are fun for both humans and dogs.
We love helping New Jersey dogs and humans with behavior challenges large and small.

Located in Englewood (Bergen county), our 10,000 sqft indoor/outdoor facility is like no other in Northern New Jersey. It was designed by canine scientists to provide an optimal learning environment and protect the behavioral health of dogs in our care.
We are an educated, experienced team of certified behavior professionals that uses behavioral science to create lasting, positive behavior change at both ends of the leash. We are active members of international animal behavior organizations, we volunteer our time with rescue groups and shelters, and we host educational workshops and seminars for dog owners, trainers, and veterinarians.
Our human team is pretty amazing, but our Instinct Englewood Helper Dogs are absolutely incredible. These special pups accompany us to work each day and help with dogs in ways we simply never could.
