Ella is a full time certified dog trainer at Instinct Hudson Valley who works with dogs in our board and training, private training and puppy raising programs. She always had an interest in animal behavior and became passionate about canine behavior and training after working in the veterinary field. Ella gained her professional certification with Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP) and the Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA). Ella is skilled at helping owners on a range of topics including canine body language, fear & reactivity, puppy development, and life skills/basic manners . She is confident working with various breeds and temperaments and has a passion for providing enrichment specific to the breed and individual dog. Ella is a compassionate, patient teacher who genuinely enjoys coaching owners to communicate effectively with their dogs. She loves and appreciates dogs of all kinds but has a special affection for power breeds and teensy puppers with large personalities as they remind her of her own two dogs, Otto & Ant-Twon.
