Samantha is Manager of Operations at Instinct East Harlem, managing Canine Care activities for all Instinct Campers and Alumni borders. She holds a BA in Sustainability from Hunter College and plans to pursue her MA in Animal Behavior & Conservation. She has also earned her Karen Pryor Foundations program certificate and is currently working towards her Fear Free certification as well as her Animal Care and Handling Techniques certificate.
Samantha has experience working on our Canine Care team as a handler as well as on our Client Service team as a Client Service Counselor. She has also worked closely alongside our training team, assisting with training sessions and helping to generalize dogs’ skills during camp stays.
Samantha is a skilled and experienced dog handler and has experience working with a wide range of breeds and temperaments. Although she has yet to adopt a dog of her own, she looks forward to doing so soon. In the meantime, she cares for all of our campers as if they were her own and has a kitty named Neko who she adores very much.
